  1. The World Heritage Management Committee was set up in 2018 to prepare the recommendations of the Luxembourg Commission for Cooperation with Unesco for works having a medium or major impact on the "Luxembourg, old quarters and fortifications" property of universal value in Luxembourg.

On 2 March 2023, Sam Tanson, Minister for Culture, Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the City of Luxembourg, and Serge Wilmes, alderman in charge of Tourism, congratulated the 87 official guides of the City of Luxembourg who had successfully completed the training courses organised by the Ministry of Culture on "Luxembourg: old quarters and fortifications", classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  4. On Tuesday 13 December 2022, the winners of the National Literary Competition 2022 were awarded the prizes by the Minister for Culture, Sam Tanson. The ceremony took place at the National Literature Centre in Mersch.
