General coordination
The general coordination covers the strategic and cross-cutting activities of the Ministry of Culture. Under the guidance of the General coordinator, strategic planning is defined for the implementation of the Government Programme and the Cultural Development Plan 2018–2028. The general coordination ensures the coherence of the actions carried out by the three directorates of the ministry – the Commission for State and Parastatal Cultural Structures, the Observatory of Culture and the Commission for the Luxembourgish Language – as well as by the various departments of the ministry.

Observatory of Culture
The Observatory of Culture provides essential information, analysis and data to better understand, promote and support culture in our society. To this end, the Observatory collects general and sector-specific data, such as data on the various cultural sectors, cultural institutions, cultural budgets, artists, and on the various audiences and their cultural practices. In this way, it contributes to enhancing the value of culture as a fundamental component of artistic, social and economic life, while helping to guide cultural policy and investment in the cultural sector.
